Working title

As the title suggests, this project is still VERY early in development.

The aim is to make a third person combat game, where you fight for fame and glory in the arena. The main inspiration for the game is  "Swords and sandals", and I plan to include similar xp, level and equipment systems.

So far I have only focused on the combat. The aim for this prototype is to do a little field test of player controls and enemy AI. Neither are considered complete.

Mute music

There is an options menu accessible (after you have selected a level) that you can open with ESC. However, itch uses the ESC button to go out of full-screen. So to open it, you need to press ESC twice (and then go back into full-screen afterwards). Sorry for the inconvenience.

(Yeah, I know that is is extremely repetitive. I will get something professional made for later releases.)

Controller support

Controller types

This game is developed to work with controllers. However, I have only been able to test it using a Playstation4 controller and therefore  have no idea if other controllers will work well at this point. For a full release, all commonly used controllers for PC should work.

Menu navigation issue

Navigating the menu with a controller does not work properly (for me at least) here on Itch. It worked properly during development, however for some reason I have yet to figure out, the script that was made to handle menu navigation for the controller does not work after building the game.

For now, the only workaround is to utilize the mouse for menu navigation. Everything else seems to work for me, so please report any other issues encountered.

Prototype

This is currently in the prototype stage. As such, expect bugs, unpolished hit-boxes and animations, and limited features.

Whilst the end goal is to make a full-fledged RPG experience, the aim for this prototype is to test the "bare bones" of  the AI and combat system.

Feedback

Bugs

I would love some feedback on the game. It could be anything, though the most helpful feedback would be reporting minor or major issues you encounter.

Features

Though I have a lot of plans for upcoming features, feel free to make suggestions for any new feature or expansion/change of an already existing one.
